Work in progress show at the RCA / 6th of December till 10th of December 2005.
This was the first show for me at the RCA. There have been an enormous amount of visitors, especially at the opening night. For me it was the first opportunity to see all of the other stuff that is been made by my follow students and my first presentation to a broader public than the platform that I'm working in. There have been great reactions but what attracted me the most were the cross-discipline conversations with students from other departments. Because this was a work in progress show it's ideal to see how my ideas communicate with people who are completely unknown with what I'm doing.
In general I'm happy with the show and it's outcome. Though I have some critique towards the show. This is that a lot of the nice roughness that comes with a design progress (work in progress), was left out by several students and presentations. Somehow design still seems to be a highly polished thing for a lot of people, even for students in this field.
