Issue 09/re-edit
Used magazines get a new life in Issue 09/re-edit. Outdated fashion magazines have undergone a process that leaves excavations in the body of their glossy pages. Each magazine becomes a unique piece after undergoing this distinctive technique of cutting. The process starts at the outside page, slowly working inwards through the magazine. It’s an unpredictable way of working that leads to unimagined and spontaneous results. The incisions connect the pages with each other in a graphic way. The photography and the articles are touched in random places and create surprising new images. This process turns an old magazine to a three dimensional visual experience from the front cover to the back cover. These are images of Issue 09/re-edit. The first 25 copies of 100 were first presented and sold (-out) at Designmai 2006 in Berlin.
